Zinc Plating Pen (Micro-Metallizer)
Plate zinc over metallic surfaces for corrosion protection and galvanic applications (not aluminum or chromium).
Plate zinc over metallic surfaces for corrosion protection and galvanic applications (not aluminum or chromium).
The Zinc Plating Pen handles corrosion-protection work on steel and other ferrous components. Touch up scratched or worn galvanized finishes, plate exposed steel fasteners, and re-coat zinc surfaces that have lost their protective layer over time.
Zinc functions as a sacrificial coating — it corrodes preferentially to the steel underneath, extending the substrate's service life. The Micro-Metallizer pen format makes it practical to spot-repair zinc coatings in the field, where dipping the entire part is not an option.
Apply over most metals; aluminum and chromium are the two non-compatible substrates. Requires Absorbent / Degreaser for surface prep.
