The 24K Gold Plating Pen deposits pure 24-karat gold for both functional and decorative applications. For electrical contact work — connector pins, edge connectors, switch contacts — pure gold delivers the highest conductivity and corrosion resistance available, which is why this pen is a staple of aerospace MRO and electronics restoration shops.
For jewelry repair and decorative work, the same pen allows precision spot plating of pure gold onto gold, silver, or nickel substrates — useful for clasp restoration, ring repair, and selective accenting where a full tank dip is impractical.
Requires surface preparation with the Absorbent / Degreaser pen first. On copper or other non-compatible substrates, apply a nickel underlayer with the Nickel Plating Pen (PL-1006) before plating gold. Heavy-duty variant available as the Gold 24K Heavy Duty Pen (PL-1016).
