The Absorbent / Degreaser pen is the mandatory first step in any Micro-Metallizer plating workflow. It removes oils, oxides, and surface contaminants that would otherwise prevent the plating layer from bonding correctly to the substrate.
Used across every Hunter Products kit, the pen handles all common substrates — copper, brass, nickel, steel, gold, silver — with the single exception of stainless steel, which requires the specialized Stainless Steel Degreaser Pen (PL-1014) instead.
Requires the Micro-Metallizer power supply and connector cables. If you are buying individual pens to assemble a custom kit, start with this pen plus the metal you intend to plate.
