The Heavy Duty 24K Gold Pen carries significantly more electrolyte per cartridge than the standard Gold 24K pen (PL-1003), allowing for thicker deposits and longer runs between cartridge swaps.
For production-volume contact restoration (aerospace MRO, switch-bank refurbishment, multi-pin connector repair) and for jewelry shops plating high-wear surfaces (ring shanks, bracelet links), the HD pen is significantly more economical per plated job once volume justifies it.
Follow the same workflow as the standard pen: Absorbent / Degreaser first, Nickel underlayer on non-compatible substrates, then plate.
