Copper Plating Pen (Micro-Metallizer)
Plate copper over any metallic surface (not aluminum or chromium). Used as an intermediate flash layer for other platings.
Plate copper over any metallic surface (not aluminum or chromium). Used as an intermediate flash layer for other platings.
The Copper Plating Pen plays two roles in the Micro-Metallizer system. First, as a standalone deposit for restoring copper conductive surfaces (busbars, contact rails, antique copperware). Second — and more commonly — as the intermediate flash layer that lets you build up other plating sequences on substrates that wouldn't normally accept them directly (steel, brass, etc.).
The standard workflow for plating chrome, nickel, or rhodium onto a non-copper part is: degrease → copper flash with this pen → target metal. For thicker copper buildup on industrial parts, use the Copper Heavy Duty Pen (PL-1019) instead.
Plates over most metals with the two exceptions of aluminum and chromium. Requires Absorbent / Degreaser pen for surface prep.
